2010/11 Semester 2 Anime: Hayate no Gotoku

Heya all, i thought it would be a good idea to have seperate discussions about the new anime we are watching so here goes,

Hayate no Gotoku, what do people think?

The problem with this series is that it can be summed up in one word: erratic.

Some parts of the show are utterly hilarious, whilst other parts succeed in nothing other than being immensely dull. Another problem I have with the series is it occasionally takes a single joke and attempts to use it to cover an entire episode, where it would actually work better if it was used as a short segment.

Also, it REALLY needs more Hinagiku and Isumi.

It is a decent show, but yeah, pacing is a huge issue. Now, if every episode could maintain the pace of the Excel Saga cameo episode and throw in gags at butler battle segment speeds, then that would be something to behold.
